Barbecue cauliflower recipe

Beginning a vegan lifestyle can be fun as you start to learn new recipes. But being a vegan can be challenging when you leave your house and eat with other people such as going to a family barbecue party. Bring this barbecue cauliflower dish and you won’t feel left out anymore.

 

Ingredients:

  • Half white onion
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika 
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper 
  • 1/2 teaspoon all purpose seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric 
  • 6 oz. can of tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 bag of frozen cauliflower 
  • 1 bag of frozen spinach 

Directions:

  • add olive oil to pan 
  • sauté garlic and onion
  • add seasonings and saute
  • add tomato paste and sauté 
  • add spinach and cauliflower and sauté until hot
  • add the ketchup, barbecue sauce and liquid smoke
  • simmer for 10 minutes 
  • tastes great with rice, try healthy brown rice and add quinoa and cauliflower rice and mix the 3 ingredients
