What I Eat in a Day as a Vegan for Weight Loss Day 5

 

 

 

 

I am sharing with you what I eat in a day to help give you some ideas to go about your own vegan diet. If your goal is to go vegan but you’re not concerned about your weight then this is such a great time for this. I remember when I first tried going vegan many years ago, there was not many options and it was really hard for me to stay consistent. Now a days, there are vegan choices everywhere. There are so many health food stores that have vegan options. There are vegan hamburgers, donuts, cakes and ice cream. You name it, you can find the vegan alternative. Now, if your aiming for weight loss then you want to stay clear from too many vegan alternatives because it is processed foods with extra sodium and sugars. Refined sugar will cause weight gain even though it’s vegan. You want to eat plant based, whole  natural foods for weight loss. I will share with you what I eat in a day.

 

Breakfast:

overnight oats

old fashioned oats, raisins, walnuts, coconut, and molasses. I soaked the ingredients in almond  milk overnight.

 

 

 

 

Carb: oats, raisins

Protein: oats, walnuts

Fat: walnuts, coconut 

 

 

Lunch:

beans and rice with salsa

I cooked the pinto beans in garlic, onion, and tomato sauce. I cooked the rice with garlic, salt, turmeric and a little tomato paste. 


 

Carb: brown rice

Protein: pinto beans

Fat: olive oil

 

Snack:

Banana and peanut butter ice cream

freeze a banana land blend it with peanut butter and cinnamon 

 

Carb: banana

Protein: peanut butter

Fat: peanut butter 

 

 

 

 

 

Dinner:

South western Tempeh salad

Bacon Tempeh

lettuce, tomatoes, black beans, croutons

Dressing: vegan mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard 

 

Carb: tomato, croutons

Protein: Tempeh, black beans

Fat: Vegan mayonnaise 

 

 

 

Snack:

five cuties

 

 

Water: I drank three 32 oz bottles throughout the day. 

 

Try some of these dishes. I think you will enjoy them. Make sure you eat balanced meals by including a protein, carbohydrate, and fat. Fill your plate with vegetables for lunch and dinner. I try and stay away from too many processed foods because it’s unhealthy and not good for weight loss. Stay active and drink plenty of water. I hope this will give you some ideas for vegan meals.
